Rex Bionics lists on the AIM market
Rex Bionics, a Kiwi company that enables wheelchair users to walk, has listed on the AIM market in the UK using the ticker RBX. Today is its first day of trading.
Rex Bionics’ Robotic Exoskeleton, Rex, enables wheelchair users to walk, including going up and down stairs. It is the only device of its kind in the world that supports the user with no crutches required, leaving the hands free.
Rex was initially funded by No 8 Ventures, a local New Zealand VC firm. Jenny Morel, a managing partner of No 8 Ventures, said that Rex has always had an amazing product, and now it has the funding to scale the business.
Most of Rex Bionics will remain in Auckland, New Zealand, where it will expand its manufacturing operation while the sales and marketing activities will be built up in Europe and the USA.
