NZE is attending Air NZ’s Social Media Breakfast
On August 6, Jodi O’Connor and Henry McIntosh from NZE will be present at the Air New Zealand Flying Social Network Social Media Breakfast with Chris Dancy. They will be live tweeting, taking pictures, and connecting with all of the event’s attendees.
The Flying Social Network is the social media hub of everything social for Air New Zealand. The team behind the initiative shares updates and keeps fans in the know of all the latest Air New Zealand news from around the world, lifestyle articles from contributing bloggers, competitions, promotions and special offers, entertainment, and events like the Social Media Breakfast.
Jo Brothers, Global Social Media Manager for Air New Zealand, said that she was excited to see Chris Dancy, who has been called the “Most Connected Human on Earth”, speak at the Social Media Breakfast on Existence as a Platform.
Chris Dancy has been engaging information systems for over 25 years, wearing as many hats as there are heads in the IT industry. He currently works as an ambassador to the future, serving the role of Data Exhaust Cartographer – he utilises 300-700 sensors, devices, applications, and services to track, analyse, and optimise as many areas of his existence as he can think of.
This quantification enables him to see the connections of otherwise invisible data, resulting in dramatic upgrades to his health, productivity, and quality of life.
The controversial technology figurehead travels extensively to promote the uptake of wearable technology, and he has been featured in every major tech media publication in the world.
Although tickets have been exhausted, we will be publishing details of the event on social media and on the NZE site.
Henry McIntosh, a marketing executive at NZE S said that he thinks the most important part of the event for us is the opportunity to network with some of NZs leading social media marketers. “We’re a fresh new startup working with some of New Zealand’s most innovative people, and this event will be a great opportunity to increase our network of innovative Kiwis,” he explained.
Jodi O’Connor, who was recently hired to lead brand and PR at NZE S, said that it was a treat to be able to meet Chris, rub shoulders with industry leaders, and to stay up to speed with networking trends.
She also added that she’s excited about the prospect of free gluten free baked goods, inspiration for the NZE digital team, and the possibility of creating new networks.
Gotta have those baked goods!
